Tottenham Hotspur fans on Twitter have been sharing their criticism for Lilywhites midfielder Dele Alli and his latest display for the north London club.
After picking up their first league defeat of the season with a disheartening 3-0 defeat against Crystal Palace, followed by a 2-2 draw against Rennes in the Europa Conference League, Nuno Espirito Santo’s team returned to Premier League action to take on their London rivals Chelsea at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
During the match against Thomas Tuchel’s side, it was Alli’s display, in particular, grabbed the attention of a number of Tottenham supporters.
Unfortunately for Alli, it was for all the wrong reasons, resulting in many of the fans flocking to Twitter to share their thoughts and opinions.
So, what did these Spurs fans have to say about Alli’s performance against Chelsea?
“Dele is fast approaching Winks levels. Hate to see it but he is no where near good enough anymore”

Looking at these tweets from this group of Spurs supporters, it’s clear that they were not impressed with what they saw from Alli during the game against Chelsea.

Moving forward, if Alli continues to get picked to start games for Spurs, he will have to make sure he shows that he has what it takes to prove to his doubters wrong and put in a decent performance for the team, or else he could find himself out of it.
However, with the Englishman having played 90 minutes in all of Spurs’ opening league games of the season prior to the Chelsea game, it seems as though Espirito Santo is a fan of the player.
