This current Chelsea squad has no weaknesses, believes former Premier League midfielder Carlton Palmer.
The European champions have made a strong start to the new domestic season, picking up 10 points from their first four games heading into their London derby against Tottenham later today.
Going into this campaign, Chelsea already had a very strong squad, with the Blues managing to win the Champions League last term under Thomas Tuchel.

However, they have since added to that, re-signing Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan to bolster their attack. And Palmer now feels that they are a team without a chink in their armour.
“I don’t think they’ve got a weakness in any department, Chelsea,” the ex-Leeds United player told TIF, dropping a claim that will no doubt please the Stamford Bridge faithful.
Indeed, in defence, midfield and attack, the west London club look really strong. Thiago Silva, N’Golo Kante, Mason Mount and Lukaku are just a few names Tuchel can call upon when selecting his team.
With such names, the Blues will be expected to challenge for the title and put up a good defence of their European crown.
It will be no easy task, though. Domestically, the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City, the former now with Cristiano Ronaldo, will try to make life difficult for Tuchel’s men.
