Celtic fans online are in love with some new footage that captures a particular piece of play from one of the club’s new stars.

During the Bhoys recent 3-2 Premier Sports Cup win over Hearts, Kyogo Furuhashi endeared himself to the home support with a forceful challenge on opposition player Andy Halliday.

Furuhashi slid in on the Hearts (and former Rangers) man, who released the ball just before being taken out unceremoniously by the Japanese international.

A clip of the incident emerged online (via Out of Context Celtic) and it didn’t take long before many Celtic fans were praising the enthusiasm of their new striker.

Here’s what these Celtic fans had to say…

“KABOOM!”

“Beautiful”
“Best bit of the game”
“Replay, replay. Kyogo making me proud.”

“I love wee Kyogo, man!”

“Kyogo Furuhashi. He just gets it.”

It’s clear to see just how much these Celtic fans appreciate the energy and effort Furuhashi put into the game. And with five goals in just five appearances at the club (via Transfermarkt), any love for the new striker has certainly been well-earned.

The 26-year-old also netted Celtic’s third goal of the game, which ultimately allowed the team to progress into the quarter-finals of the competition.
