Celtic fans have been reacting to news surrounding the potential signing of Liam Scales.
A recent report in The Irish Examiner claimed that 23-year-old Scales would be making the move to Celtic very shortly, with a medical booked in for Friday following his side’s tie against Flora Tallinn in the Europa Conference League play-offs.
The report stated that the transfer fee will involve an upfront cost of €600k (£514k) and that Celtic have won the rights for his services “despite interest from English clubs, including a Premier League outfit”.
That news appears to be pretty close to becoming official, with the club announcing that the defender had signed “subject to the satisfaction of usual conditions and international clearance”.
This was then relayed to the fans by the club’s social media account, and it’s fair to say that they were rather excited by the announcement:
Will Celtic win the league this season?
Whether or not this will be the last bit of business that Ange Postecoglou and Celtic do before the end of the transfer window, we’ll just have to wait and see.
