Tottenham Hotspur fans have voiced their disgust on Twitter at the display shown by Matt Doherty in their Europa Conference League game against Pacos de Ferreira.
The Irishman made his first start of the 2021/22 campaign out in Portugal under the new Tottenham boss, Nuno Espirito Santo, having only been used as a late substitute against Manchester City.

It was a difficult first year for the 29-year-old in north London after making the move from Wolverhampton Wanderers last summer with a lack of consistent game time.
However, it does not seem these Spurs fans were too impressed by the defender’s start to the 2021/22 campaign against the Portuguese outfit.

Reports have emerged suggesting the arrival of Espirito Santo has not guaranteed Doherty of his future at Tottenham, with some suggesting the Irishman being up for sale this summer.
Doherty still has three years remaining on his contract with the Lilywhites, however, going off the reaction of these fans it would seem they would hope he is sold well before the end of his deal.
