On the latest episode of the Gold & Guest talk Tottenham podcast, Alasdair Gold has been speaking about all things transfer-related at Tottenham Hotspur.

The main talking point surrounding the Lilywhites currently is the future of Harry Kane, which remains up in the air with the striker hoping for a Manchester City move.

Do you want Spurs to sell Kane this summer?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Spurs played Pep Guardiola’s side in their opening game of the 2021/22 Premier League campaign, however, the 28-year-old striker was nowhere to be seen.

The transfer saga has taken a sour turn in recent weeks after Kane did not return to Spurs following his summer break and the player has reportedly only just returned to team training.

Discussing the whereabouts of the England captain during their Premier League clash on Sunday afternoon, Gold had the following to say on what he had been told by his sources.

“We’re still not entirely sure whether Harry Kane was in the stadium. I’ve got massively conflicting reports on that.

“Some people within Spurs have told me none of them saw him at all. Whereas, I was told that [Tanguy] Ndombele, [Serge] Aurier, [Joe] Rodon, players like that, were all there and watching the team.

“But then I’ve had other people telling me that they think he may have been in a box in the stadium watching it, kind of away from the team.”

TIF Thoughts on Kane’s future…

We think it is going to make for an interesting couple of weeks in the transfer window for Spurs and we feel a lot of it will depend on the future of their main man, Kane.

There is no evidence Kane was or wasn’t there, however, the Spurs fans certainly made their thoughts be known as they sang sarcastically about the striker as they saw out their 1-0 win.

Reports would suggest City are not making any inroads to seal the services of Kane as they look to make a fresh bid this week, with Daniel Levy said to be holding out for more money.

Kane’s absence from the squad on the weekend was put down to fitness issues, however, with a Europa Conference League game on Thursday, it’ll be interesting to see if he plays any part in that game.
