On the latest YouTube video from Last Word On Spurs, Fabrizio Romano has revealed how many more arrivals he is expecting to see at Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

Spurs have already seen three players come through the door this transfer window in the form of Bryan Gil, Pierluigi Gollini and Cristian Romero.

Do you think Kane will leave this summer?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Speaking on the show, Romano insisted Fabio Paratici is still working at bringing in more new players before the window shuts on the final day of the month.

The Lilywhites have been linked with a new striker over the course of the last week, with Harry Kane’s transfer saga continuing to drag on.

“I would say two or three [new signings], two or three.”

And when pressed on whether they would be two or three big signings, Romano responded with:

“I don’t know, I don’t know. It depends [on] what happens with Kane. It’s up to [the] Harry Kane deal.”

TIF Thoughts on Spurs’ summer spending…

The appointment of Fabio Paratici seems to have kicked Spurs into action this summer with the signing of a centre-back who has proven top-class credentials in Romero, following his MVP season in Serie A last campaign.

However, as Romano hints at, there could still be a lot more work for the Italian director of football to do if Harry Kane is to depart this season.

We do not think a new striker is essential for Spurs if their talisman is to remain with the north London side this summer, but if he does depart, then they’ll have little choice but to splash the cash on a goalscorer.

The Lilywhites have been linked with both Dusan Vlahovic and Lautaro Martinez this summer, but reports suggest they may miss out on both.

Fiorentina are reportedly looking to extend Vlahovic’s contract and Inter likewise with Martinez, so we think Spurs should have a cut-off date for when they will not listen to any more Harry Kane offers so that they are not left with insufficient time to get plans for a potential replacement underway.
