Serie A expert Conor Clancy has waxed lyrical about Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez, who has recently been linked with both Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.
Nandez has been at the centre of a major transfer saga this summer as it seems inevitable that he will be leaving the Italian club.
Inter Milan have been credited with an interest, but both Spurs and the Hammers seem to hold an intense interest too. Indeed, Sky Sports claims that an approach has already been made by the north London club as they look to strengthen their squad.
Would you like to see Leeds sign Nandez this summer?
Nandez has been with Cagliari since 2019, making a total of 72 appearances for the club, and Clancy, the editor-in-chief at Forza Italian Football, believes he is an excellent prospect in midfield, and would be a superb signing for any English club.
He said: “He does everything in the same way that, maybe to an English audience it’s lost, but Lucas Torreira when he was at Sampdoria.
“You just get everything. A small, physical, combative guy, technically brilliant, never, never, never stops. He’s got some engine on him.”
