Many Celtic fans have been talking about an update involving Ange Postecoglou and Carl Starfelt that recently emerged on social media.

Starfelt has joined Celtic for a fee of £4 million from Russian club Rubin Kazan and the Swede has signed a four-year deal.

Starfelt has the experience of playing regularly for Rubin Kazan and was not in Sweden’s Euro 2020 squad, so he might already be fit and fine to feature for the Bhoys soon.

At present, Celtic only have Christopher Jullien as a senior centre-back option but the Frenchman is injured. So having an experienced defender in Starfelt would be a boost for Postecoglou’s side when the Premiership season starts.
