Lots of Celtic fans have been talking about a news update regarding Kristoffer Ajer that emerged on social media.

Writer ‘The Cynic Wolf’ recently posted an update regarding the future of Ajer at Celtic, with sources claiming that the Norwegian is ‘furious’ about how his future has been handled. The defender is supposedly feeling as if some promises have been broken and Celtic have shown a ‘lack of professionalism’ in how they’ve managed his potential exit.

Should Ajer be allowed to leave?

This comes after it was reported that Celtic have rejected bids for the defender and The Athletic had claimed that Ajer was unhappy about the rejected bids, as he’s looking to leave the club.

The update from The Cynic Wolf drew the attention of many Celtic fans, who began talking about this news.

What did Celtic fans make of this news?

“Just like the other players who have tried to leave the club over the last few years. It’s beyond a joke how we’re going about business.

“Moussa said the same. Feels like signings fell through for club so they’ve shifted their promise. Not having this ‘he signed a contract’ patter. Standard for player to be promised to be let leave during contract to retain sale value, usually to get them to sign extension.

“Seems like a recurring theme with Celtic, shambolic.”

Ajer has already made it clear that he’s looking to leave Celtic this summer and it isn’t a new thing as even last summer, the Norwegian’s representatives had asked the Hoops for a valuation of the player.

Celtic fans, can you get 8/8 on this quiz on forgotten players? First up: who is this?

So he’s clearly a player who’s been looking for a way out for quite a while. So instead of rejecting bids and potentially disallowing Ajer from taking new strides, they should let the player leave soon.
