Loads of Celtic fans have been discussing a tweet from Fabrizio Romano which provided an update about the club’s chase of Carl Starfelt.
Journalist Romano recently tweeted about the Swedish defender, claiming that the Hoops have now reached an agreement with Rubin Kazan to sign him. He revealed that the final fee now stands at €5 million (£4.2 million) and personal terms have already been agreed by the two parties.

Starfelt was a regular for Rubin Kazan last season, as he played 29 league games for them. That’s a clear indication that he may not be fazed by the prospect of turning out for a club like Celtic.
Kristoffer Ajer is said to be unhappy with his situation at the club and the Norwegian is looking to leave the club this summer. Celtic have already rejected bids for the defender. Ajer’s exit would leave a slot free in the centre-back position and considering Starfelt is an established player, he may be able to replace Ajer soon enough.
