Lots of Newcastle United fans have reacted on Twitter to a video posted on the official club account showing the team’s pre-season preparations.
Steve Bruce’s men play their first pre-season games this weekend against League Two side Harrogate Town and National League North side York City on Sunday 18 August.
Will the proposed takeover happen this summer?
Star striker Callum Wilson has
returned to training after missing the conclusion of the 2020/21 campaign due to a hamstring injury.
However, Newcastle fans flocked to the
tweet from the official club account to vent some of their anger at what they saw from some of the players. What exactly did these Newcastle fans have to say?
“Hilarious how poor we are on the ball”
“ Videos of #NUFC players looking knackered and getting nowhere near the man with the ball again. Back to reality Newcastle/England fans”
“It’s grim when a school in York has infinitely better facilities than a Premier League football club”
“Is this meant to be impressive? Shocking tempo”
Toon Army kick off their 2021/22 Premier League campaign with a match in front of the St. James’ Park crowd against David Moyes’ West Ham United on 15th August.
Going by the reaction of these Newcastle fans, it would seem apparent they are far from impressed by their side’s efforts so far in pre-season and will be glad the Premier League campaign is still over one month away.
