Lots of Celtic fans have been fuming at footage involving Ange Postecoglou that emerged on social media.

The Hoops lost to Championship outfit Preston in a pre-season friendly at Parkhead this weekend. Ben Whiteman’s goal from the penalty spot handed the Hoops a defeat.

After the game, Postecoglou was talking to the club’s official channel about the game.

The Australian looked a little downbeat following the defeat, saying that it wasn’t a great game for the Hoops and they struggled throughout the match. Postecoglou stated that there has been ‘an element of fatigue’ during preparations and spoke about the need for having more players in.

The video involving the Australian was posted on Twitter on the club’s account. Many Celtic fans began talking about it.

What did Celtic fans make of this video?

“Body language tells a lot and this doesn’t bode well. He’s only 3 weeks in and the klaxons are already going off in his head. Prove me wrong.

These Celtic fans aren’t happy and they feel that the club’s board hasn’t helped Postecoglou this summer.

The Champions League qualifier against Midtjylland isn’t too far away at all and to have the manager looking demoralised and talking about the squad needing more strength isn’t a good look for Celtic.

Celtic fans, can you get 8/8 on this quiz on forgotten players? First up: who is this?

Postecoglou was hired some time after the Hoops had gone after Eddie Howe, but they failed to secure his appointment. So Postecoglou’s appointment came pretty late and this perhaps left him with little time to prepare for Midtjylland.

So it is understandable why the club’s fans are unhappy with the board, who could’ve brought Postecoglou in much earlier – especially since this is a season of transition for the club.
