Speaking exclusively to This Is Futbol, former Premier League forward Dean Windass has suggested that Wolves’ Adama Traore is worth £70m.

Traore’s future at Molineux remains in doubt as he continues to be linked with a move away this summer.

According to The Telegraph’s Matt Law, speaking on the London Is Blue podcast, the 25-year-old could be available for just £20m due to some financial issues Wolves are currently having.

Is Traore worth £70m?

No

No

This is quite a drop off from the £80m valuation the Midlands club were once said to have placed.

As for Windass, his valuation is much closer to that £80m than the £20m mentioned by Law.

When asked if he thought Traore was in the £60-70m bracket, the ex-Hull City star told TIF:

“Yeah, I think so. Tony Pulis said he’d go for 100 million one day, didn’t he? Not quite there yet I don’t think about the 100 million, but in today’s market, that [£70m] would be a pretty fair offer I think.”

With two years to run on his contract, Wolves may be tempted to cash in on Traore this summer.

However, with new Wolves manager Bruno Lage possibly set to use a 4-4-2 formation, his preferred system, you cannot help but feel that the Spain international could really thrive as a traditional wide man at Molineux this upcoming season.

His dribbling numbers are really good (per WhoScored), so a role hugging that touchline could be perfect for him.
