Journalist Dean Jones has recently talked about Wilfried Zaha’s future at Crystal Palace this summer.

Zaha’s future at Selhurst Park is once again up for discussion this summer, while he has previously drawn links with the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.

Jones talked about Zaha’s situation when he appeared on the latest episode of Touchline Talk, and the journalist believes that the winger will stay at Palace as he’s ‘sceptical’ about whether he will really ever leave the club.

The journalist went on to say: “I’m always sceptical anyway about whether Zaha’s ever going to leave Crystal Palace again.

“I don’t know if anyone’s going to pay the money that Crystal Palace want. I don’t know what offer he’s genuinely expecting to come along for him at this point of his career and the form that he’s been in. I think Zaha will be there anyway, but let’s see what he can do.”

TIF Thoughts on Zaha’s future…

Zaha had wanted to leave the club in 2019 and he had the same intentions last summer. The 2020/21 campaign was pretty decent for him, as he scored 11 times and racked up two assists for the Eagles. It was also a much better season than the 2019/20 term. He is currently valued at £40.5 million (as per Transfermarkt).

Crystal Palace fan? We bet you can't get 100% on this Palace 19/20 season quiz. We'll start off with an easy one... Which side did Palace face on the opening day of the 19/20 Premier League season?

It is a reflection of his importance to the side, but Palace have multiple expiring contracts in the side and it suggests that the squad needs an overhaul. Selling Zaha this summer would give Palace a good chance to earn a big fee and reinvest it for that overhaul.
