Celtic fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest comments made by Hoops manager Ange Postecoglou.

This comes after the official Celtic Twitter account shared a post that contained a video clip of Postecoglou speaking on a recent episode of the Celtic View podcast (via celticfc.com) about the club’s recent match-up with Danish Superliga runners-up FC Midtjylland in the Champions League second qualifying round.

Celtic fans, can you get 8/8 on this quiz on forgotten players? First up: who is this?

On this recent draw with the Danish club, Postecoglou said that it’s a “significant” fixture and that it’s “exciting” for himself and everyone at the club.

This post then gathered a lot of replies from a number of Hoops supporters who were not shy in sharing their response to Postecoglou’s comments.

So, what did these Celtic fans have to say in response to these comments from Postecoglou?

“He’s starting to grow on me, seems intelligent. Let’s just see how he does”

@mjCeltic67

“I’ve now heard Ange speak on 2 or 3 occasions and from what I’ve heard so far I feel that he has something about him. He carries himself well and seems to have good presence & gravitas. I know that doesn’t make a good manager but they’re qualities every good manager needs!”

@kevinpmcauley

“Everytime he speaks I somehow get more confident. But this Big Erik patter he’s hitting out with us interesting”

@ReissFerguson

“IN ANGE WE TRUST”

@KierHar

“Ange ball incoming”

@marcusgrahamm

“Glad to see him at the club, wish him the best of luck”

@tartan_ants

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems that these Celtic fans are feeling rather positive about having Postecoglou as the club’s manager with their Champions League qualifying clash against Midtjylland set to be his first competitive game in charge of the team next month.

This match could certainly give the Celtic fans a good view of what they could expect to see from their team under Postecoglou’s leadership.

Given the disappointment from their recent season of falling behind Rangers in the SPFL table to miss out on securing a 10th consecutive league title, it’s good to see a more positive vibe coming off these Hoops fans.
