Starting with a current Tottenham star. How many PL goals has Harry Kane scored for Spurs?

On the subject of Kane and his current situation, after it was recently reported that fellow Premier League side Manchester City had put in a £100 million bid for the striker, Romano had this to say.

He said: “Tottenham’s position with Daniel Levy is no. No to this bid, 100%, so they are not accepting this bid [from Manchester City] and they are still [intending] to keep Harry Kane.

“They want to continue with Harry Kane, and they are convinced they have chances to change his mind and to keep Harry Kane.

“So, at the moment, it’s still a complicated negotiation, but the news is that Manchester City are [serious about signing] him. They want him and they’re going to try again.”

Since making his senior debut for the Lilywhites back in 2011, Kane has gone on to make 336 appearances for Tottenham across all competitions in which he has managed to score 221 goals and provide 47 assists in the process (per Transfermarkt).

TIF Thoughts on Fabrizio Romano’s comments on Kane…

Given how Kane scored more goals (23) and provided more assists (14) than any other player in the Premier League last season and ultimately ended the campaign as Spurs’ highest-rated player with an overall rating of 7.79/10 according to WhoScored, it’s understandable why the club would want to keep hold of Kane.

Are you confident Harry Kane will be a Tottenham player next season?

No

In our view, taking into account how significant Kane is to Tottenham in terms of goal contributions, if the club were to sell him this summer, they would undoubtedly be losing one of their prized assets.

With Kane previously sharing his ambitions to win titles in his career and the fact that Spurs haven’t managed to win a trophy since the 2007/08 season, it feels like it would take a lot of convincing from the club to make Kane stay for the foreseeable future.
