Tottenham Hotspur fans have been reacting to pictures that have emerged of Dele Alli getting ready for the new season.
The 25-year-old didn’t have the greatest of seasons in 2020/21, spending the majority of it as a backup player and barely being able to make it into the Premier League team under Jose Mourinho. Indeed, he was almost moved out of the club in the January transfer window, so small were his chances of being able to get any regular playing time.
However, with a new season (and a new manager once they get around to appointing one) comes a new opportunity for Alli to make an impression and work his way into the Tottenham side, and it looks as if he is already doing his best to make that happen.
He posted some pictures of himself getting some training done away from the Spurs training ground on his Instagram story, and it’s fair to say that there were plenty of fans who were excited to see them when the images were relayed to them by @thespursweb on Twitter:
“If he stays he’s going to be a key player next season.”
Should Tottenham cash in on Dele Alli?
Let’s see whether or not this works, as well as if what he does when training starts properly will be enough to convince the new manager to let him play once more.
