According to The Sun, Mike Ashley has grown increasingly positive about the Toon’s proposed takeover by PCP Capital Partners, PIF and the Reuben brothers.

The deal was initially withdrawn nearly a year ago, but after Mike Ashley launched two legal challenges against the Premier League, a positive conclusion appears to be edging closer.

Apparently, people within St. James’ Park are confident of the deal going through, and Ashley has told Amanda Staveley to be ready to take over within a month.
