Leeds United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest news concerning Whites defender Diego Llorente.
This comes after Leeds journalist Adam Pope shared a tweet sharing a post from the official Spanish national team’s Twitter page, which revealed that Llorente has returned two negative virus tests after originally testing positive earlier in the week.
Llorente now has the possibility to join back up with the Spain squad ahead of the start of the European Championships.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Leeds supporters who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on this latest update.
So, what did these Leeds fans have to say in response to this latest update on Llorente?
“Great news for Diego and Spain.”
“Season has been fairly rotten on luck so hopefully this is positive”
“Love to see it. I’d be gutted if one of our lads didn’t get to represent their country after the shambles this year has been.”
“That’s great news”
“Delighted for him – deserves that bit of luck was superb for us.”
Looking at the replies to this post from Pope, it’s clear to see that these Leeds fans are delighted to hear that Llorente has now returned two negative tests and could well be back in the frame to play in the Euros for Spain.
Have you been impressed with Llorente?
Given how the defender had some injury issues at the start of the season for Leeds but then managed to have a consistent run of appearances in the second half of the club’s Premier League campaign, it’s good to see that he could now be able to continue getting minutes on the pitch this time for Spain instead of Leeds, with fans seeming excited to watch their player in his national side’s colours.
