Leeds United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest transfer claim concerning Ajax left-back Nicolas Tagliafico.

This comes after @LeedsUnitedYEP shared a post relaying news originally shared by Dutch journalist Mike Verweij on a recent episode of the Kick-off met Valentijn Driessen podcast from Dutch outlet De Telegraaf (via MOT Leeds News).

Leeds' all-time top Premier League goalscorer is Mark Viduka but how many did he score?

Verweij claimed that Tagliafico, who has been linked with a move to Elland Road in the past, could be available to buy for £10 million this summer.

This post then grabbed the attention of a lot of Leeds fans who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on this latest update.

So, what did these Leeds fans have to say in response to this latest transfer claim about Tagliafico?

“What a bargain”

@jj_goodman20

“Would be great asset to the team”

@ChrisFinlay8

“Just get him. He’s an awesome let back”

@DavidDLufc

“That would be a spectacular signing which will definitely strengthen the team”

@ColinJSingleton

Cheap if true! #lufc

@DazF3110

He would be my first choice but what do I know. #trustinorta

@ian70leeds

“Wow, Galan is good, but we’re talking about a world-class left-back here. I beg you”

@billylufc17

“He would be my first choice but what do I know.”

@ian70leeds

Looking at the replies to this post, it seems that these Leeds fans would be delighted to see their club potentially sign Tagliafico this summer for the reported transfer fee.

Would you like to see Leeds sign Tagliafico this summer?

No

Since arriving at Ajax back in January 2018, the 28-year-old has gone on to make 139 appearances for the Dutch club in which he has managed to score 13 goals and provide 19 assists along the way (per Transfermarkt).

In our view, with the future of current Leeds left-back Ezgjan Alioski still unclear with his current contract set to expire at the end of the month, perhaps securing Tagliafico would be a smart move for the club if they need to potentially replace Alioski.
