Who scored the opening goal in Liverpool's 4-3 win over Leeds United at Anfield in September?

City were linked with a move for the 25-year-old as they look to improve their squad ahead of the 2020/21 Premier League campaign.

Grealish had a fantastic season for Aston Villa as he scored six goals and provided 12 assists in just 26 league games.

According to Castles, City see Grealish as a replacement for Bernardo Silva, who wants to leave the Etihad this summer.

He said: “I’m told that what City are focusing on as a replacement for Bernardo and in their transfer business at present is [an] attacking midfielder.

“Jack Grealish is extremely high on their list, and they think there is a real possibility of getting him from Aston Villa and pairing him with Phil Foden in their midfield.

“They feel that Aston Villa, and I think correctly, are making preparations to cash in on Grealish.”

Do you think that Grealish will join City?

TIF Thoughts on Grealish to City…

Bernardo didn’t have his greatest season for City, so it is no surprise that he wants to leave, and if they sell him and replace him with Grealish; that could be an incredible piece of business.

The 25-year-old is versatile and is growing into a world-class player, so if Pep Guardiola’s side were to get him, they would have an even better squad than they currently have.

The end of the season for City was disappointing as they lost in the Champions League final and were also knocked out of the FA Cup at the semi-final stage.

So, could Grealish be that last piece of the puzzle to allow City to dominate every competition they play in?

Well, that remains to be seen, but we think he could help City achieve their goals next season.
