Swansea City fans have been reacting on social media to the latest news surrounding their football club.
This comes after the club’s official Twitter account posted quotes from Swansea youngster, Brandon Cooper, which suggested that the 21-year-old is looking to improve upon his breakthrough season. Cooper himself quoted the tweet with the caption: ‘Big season ahead! Working hard everyday to be ready for it.’
This triggered a flurry of replies from Swansea fans, who were all quick to let the young centre-back know their feelings about him.
“A Gap has opened up now with Marc going back to Chelsea, similar to when Mike left and Joe got the chance. Grab it with both hands Brandon”
“Good luck with pre-season and we all look forward to seeing you at the heart of our defence!! Been a long time coming!!”
“The top man this year I reckon”
“Looking forward to a fantastic season for you and the Swans”
“They won’t know what hit them big man”
Judging by the comments, Cooper is a young man that many are tipping for more minutes at the Swans next season.
Cooper spent the first half of the season on loan at Newport County in League Two before returning to Swansea in January. Cooper made his Championship debut for the Swans on the penultimate game of the season, coming off the bench against Derby County.
With the departure of Marc Guehi, who returned to Chelsea after a loan move at the Swans, will Cooper become a regular in the Swansea side next season?
