A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to vent their anger at the latest claim to surface regarding their former manager, Jose .

Spurs have been without a permanent manager for just over two weeks now since Daniel Levy sacked Jose Mourinho with former midfielder Ryan Mason taking interim charge until the end of the season.

Were Spurs right to get rid of Mourinho when they did?

According to Sky Sport Italia (via Daily Mail), Spurs have agreed to subsidise Mourinho’s wage with Roma. His new deal is reportedly worth in the region of €7M-per-year with Tottenham providing the rest to match his €16M-per-year contract at Spurs.

Mourinho was announced as the new manager of Roma on Tuesday afternoon and will take charge of the Serie A side following the conclusion of the 2020/21 campaign.

In response to the claim surrounding the Portuguese manager, flocked to the tweet relaying the report to show their disgust.

“okay well this is a big yikes then”

On the day Mourinho was sacked by Spurs, the Lilywhites were slumped in seventh spot of the Premier League despite topping the table towards the back end of 2020.

Going by the reaction of these Spurs fans it is clear they are far from impressed by this claim regarding Mourinho’s wage with many of them hoping it not to be true.
