Many Celtic fans have been talking about the latest tweet from Scott Sinclair that has emerged on social media.
The former Celtic star Sinclair recently tweeted about Scott Brown, as the Englishman said that it has been a pleasure for him to play alongside the veteran midfielder. Sinclair said they’ve made many memories together, including winning the Treble Treble.
The winger also wished his former teammate well for the next step in his career, as Brown joins Aberdeen in a player-coach role this summer.
Were Celtic wrong to let Sinclair leave?
Sinclair left Celtic in January 2020 to join Preston in the Championship, but he had joined the Hoops in the summer of 2016 from Aston Villa, as he spent over three years at Parkhead (as per Transfermarkt).
Sinclair’s tweet drew the attention of many Celtic fans, who made their views clear about the former winger.
What did Celtic fans make of Scott Sinclair’s tweet?
“If only we had you this season.“
“One of the good guys.”
During his stint at Celtic, Sinclair played 167 games in all competitions, as he contributed to 62 goals and 36 assists as well, racking up a very impressive record.
He also won as many as nine trophies at the club, winning the Premiership on three occasions, too. That is perhaps the reason why Celtic fans still seem to have a liking for him and considering that he got the most amount of first-team football at Parkhead, Sinclair perhaps has a special place in his heart for the club too.
