Ex-WHU Employee has been speaking on the latest edition of The West Ham Way podcast about all things relating to West Ham United.

Nice easy one to start off with. How much do you think Declan Rice is worth?

One of the topics that Ex spent some time covering was contracts, and it looks like it is the end of the road for Fabian Balbuena and David Martin.

Balbuena and Martin’s contracts are set to expire in June, and it doesn’t appear as if the Hammers have offered new terms to either of them.

Ex said: (57:50) “Balbuena and David Martin haven’t renewed their contracts yet and their contracts [are] up at the end of the season.

“As far as I’m aware, a decision has been made not to keep them both on unless something changes in the last minute.

“I don’t think it will, but there’s a chance that they could still be offered new deals, but at the moment, they’re the two that are out of contract.”

Do you think that Balbuena and Martin should leave the club?

Yes, they have done all they can

Yes, they have done all they can

No, we should keep both

No, we should keep both

TIF Thoughts on Balbuena and Martin…

The Hammers signed the Paraguayan international in the summer of 2018, and he has made 61 appearances for the club.

However, this season, he only featured in 14 league games for West Ham, so it is no real surprise to see him moving on.

Martin has been West Ham’s third-choice goalkeeper this year but made his name last season when he kept a clean sheet on his debut in a 1-0 win against Chelsea; however, since then, he has found game time very hard to come by, and we will not be surprised to see the former Millwall goalkeeper leave this summer.
