A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to a post from Alasdair Gold in which he has provided an update on Mauricio Pochettino potentially returning to Spurs.

Starting with a current Tottenham star. How many PL goals has Harry Kane scored for Spurs?

The Argentine failed to win Ligue 1 with PSG and was also knocked out of the UEFA Champions League semi-finals, so not the greatest start for Pochettino in Paris.

This has led to rumours that Tottenham want to re-appoint him and Gold confirmed that Pochettino is “not currently a candidate,” but if he does become available, then he “would come into the frame.”

This has drawn the attention of these Spurs fans who have had their say.

This is the only candidate I am excited by don’t ruin the dream Alasdair”

Fairytales very rarely happen. I just don’t see it every1 is getting caught up in the emotional side of it. Its to soon 4 me and not the right appointment atm”

@AdamSomers11

“I am now 1000% emotionally invested in Poch coming back and I don’t even care if it’s a massive mistake.”

@nahhnelson

Do you think that Tottenham can get Poch back?

No, not a chance

No, not a chance

Yes, we could

Yes, we could

Tottenham sacked the Argentine in November 2019, so it would be odd if they decided to go back for Pochettino.

This post continued to draw in Spurs fans who had their say.

Don’t want him, was terrible last 12mth and he’s failed at PSG why would things be different if he came back, the squad is nowhere near as good as was when prime Poch and it’s gonna take more that 120-150 from Kane to fix that, that gets you 3 top players and Kane need replacing”

@nicktaylor271

My club just replaced Bale with Bale now might do it again with Poch with Poch. Brace yourselves for a future Kane w Kane. What a shambles”

@ffiladeys

Ridiculous to think he’d come back so soon. I don’t actually think it’d be a good idea coming bk so soon after leaving (I know I’m probably in the minority)”

@ATottenhamFan

It doesn’t look like Pochettino is a contender for the role at the moment, which given the short time he has been at PSG, makes sense to us.
