Spurs have been linked with the Inter centre-back ahead of the upcoming transfer window as Mourinho attempts to solve the club’s defensive frailties.
The likes of Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez have come under increasing scrutiny in recent weeks, and Skriniar has been outlined as a potential solution in the heart of defence.
According to Football Insider, the Portuguese boss is a big admirer of the 26-year-old and will ‘personally spearhead’ a move for the Slovakia international.
However, it appears as though many of the north London outfit’s fanbase aren’t happy to hear that Mourinho is being allowed to plan that far in advance, with several sections of the supporters hoping the 58-year-old won’t be in charge after the current campaign concludes.
“He’s not going to be our manager then.”
“I’m hoping he won’t be here come end of the season to personally lead anything”
“He won’t even be here next summer”
“Jose surely won’t be here next season, especially if we have fans back”
“Mourinho hopefully long gone before summer transfer window.”
“I hope he personally leads his own exit from the club.”
Mourinho has been a divisive character throughout his career, and it seems like the Tottenham fans have run out of patience with the former Chelsea man.
