Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have taken to Twitter to criticise the first-half performance of Spurs left-back, Sergio Reguilon, in the Carabao Cup final.

So far this season, Reguilon has been in fine form over his 22 Premier League appearances for Tottenham, with the 24-year-old registering three assists as well as averaging a WhoScored match rating of 6.81 – ranking him as the club’s eighth-best performer in the top flight.

Spurs have had quite a few odd players over the years, but can you remember them? Here is the first one, who is this former Tottenham man?

However, after Ryan Mason opted to start the Spain international in the League Cup final against Manchester City on Sunday, fans of Tottenham Hotspur appeared far from happy with the first-half display of the defender, with a great many taking to Twitter to share their feelings about the performance of the £68,000-per-week man.

Should Mason bring Reguilon off?

So, what exactly did these Tottenham Hotspur fans have to say in reaction to the first half performance of Sergio Reguilon?

“Reguilon just about sums up how negative and clueless we are.”

@mrmstoney

“Reguilon and Aurier playing like your local circus clowns.”

@NachoTHFC

“Reguilon is having a nightmare.”

@johnrhueston

“Reguilon wake up mate seriously.”

@ThfcFtbl

“Reguilon is having a shocker…”

@CNBeresford

“Reguilon is all over the place.”

@sticksTHFC

“Lloris OMDS. Reguilon hall of shame performance.”

@ShehryarThfc

All in all, it would seem as if these Spurs fans are far from happy with the display of Reguilon thus far in the fixture, so, hopefully for the left-back, he can pick his game up over the next 45.
