City Xtra’s Jordan has been speaking on the site’s latest YouTube video, where he revealed his belief that Jack Grealish will join Manchester City this summer.

The 25-year-old attacking midfielder has impressed throughout this season in the Premier League, bagging six goals and providing 12 assists in 22 top-flight games.

His impressive form has earned him a call-up to Gareth Southgate’s England squad and has seen the Aston Villa captain continue to be linked with a move away from his boyhood club.

One of the sides rumoured to be interested in securing Grealish’s signature is City, and Jordan is extremely confident that the league leaders will get their man once the current campaign reaches its conclusion following reports that emerged last week from Football Insider, which suggested the winger has set his sights on a ‘glamour’ move to City.

Referencing the reports, he said: “Apparently, he’s told friends he would be interested in joining City this summer. He’s excited to play for a Champions League side, he wants to play for Guardiola, and apparently, this fee of £100m is way off the mark, so they reckon it’s going to be closer to like £60-70m, something like that.

“We keep seeing Jack Grealish’s name pop up. Now, I’m just looking at it, and the last transfer video that we did – we had two separate journalists say that City are in for Grealish, and these are sort of better-tier journalists, like these journalists, when they talk, you listen.

“It keeps on popping up. I think there’s something in this, I really, really do. I think that we’re going to get Jack Grealish, I really do.”

TIF Thoughts on Grealish to City…

Any move for Grealish will be an extremely expensive one, given that he signed a new contract with the Villans last summer until 2025.

His market value of £54m (as per Transfermarkt) is likely to be enough to put most sides off due to the financial restrictions that the coronavirus pandemic has enforced upon football clubs.

Nevertheless, Grealish is a highly sort after player, and Manchester City and Pep Guardiola may just be prepared to stump up the necessary fee.
