Lots of Leeds United fans have flocked to a post on the club’s official Twitter page after they poked fun at Tottenham Hotspur.

The Elland Road outfit take on the capital club on May 8 as both sides aim to finish the Premier League season strongly.

Leeds announced that their upcoming clash with Tottenham would be shown live on Amazon Prime, however, they lightheartedly mocked Spurs in the process.

The tweet read: “Next month’s fixtures against Brighton and former Super League side Tottenham Hotspur have been selected by BT Sport and Amazon Prime.”

Spurs were set to form part of a European Super League next season before pulling out of the plans 48 hours after they were announced, and Leeds’ reference to them being a ‘former Super League’ side has clearly gone down well with the supporters.

“A lot of time for this”
“Love our club”
“Give the person behind this account a pay rise. Excellent work”
“Saturday games! Buzzing”
“Leeds bringing the heat”
“Superb stuff”
