This comes after The Scottish Sun had stated that Keane wants to manage Celtic and he is desperate for another shot at management. Talks apparently collapsed in 2014 but he still has an allegiance towards the Parkhead-based side and it is thought he would even like the chance to take on Steven Gerrard and reignite their playing rivalry.

Lots of these Celtic fans are against the idea of Keane managing their club and they’re making their frustration clear about him.

The Athletic has published an article about Keane’s managerial career and the piece has stated that the Irishman fell out with players during his time at Ipswich and Sunderland, launching attacks on those who he has coached on occasion.

Considering that and the fact that he hasn’t managed a club on a permanent basis since 2011, this might be a risky appointment that Celtic should perhaps avoid.
