Many Celtic supporters have been talking about the latest tweet from former midfielder Joe Ledley that recently emerged on social media.
Ledley tweeted about Scott Brown and his departure from Parkhead to Aberdeen. The Welshman said that what Brown has done at Celtic is ‘unbelievable’ and he’s one of the best midfielders Ledley has ever played with.
Ledley said that Brown’s desire to win a football match is ‘unbeatable’ and he wished his former teammate well for the future.
“Nice compliment Joe but at that time and since then, you were the most accomplished midfielder that I’ve seen in a Celtic shirt. Was gutted when you signed for Palace.”
Ledley, now 34, was at Celtic for about three and a half years. He had arrived at Parkhead in the summer of 2010 on a free transfer from Cardiff City. He left the Hoops in January 2014 to join Crystal Palace for a fee of £3.15 million (as per Transfermarkt).
A lot of these Celtic supporters are buzzing about Ledley’s tweet and some of them are hailing their former midfielder.
During his time at the club, Ledley played as many as 157 appearances in all competitions for the Hoops. Despite playing from the midfield, he scored 30 goals and even picked up 24 assists (as per Transfermarkt).
This shows that Ledley did have an impact at Celtic and considering that he’s tweeting positively about a club icon like Brown, it is easy to see why fans are expressing their love for him.
