Fans of Celtic have taken to Twitter to criticise the first-half performance of Jonjoe Kenny in the Glasgow Derby on Sunday afternoon.

Prior to Sunday’s fixture, Kenny had featured eight times in the Scottish Premiership for John Kennedy’s side, providing one assist and averaging a WhoScored match rating of 7.05 – ranking him as the club’s 10th-best performer in the Scottish top flight.

How much do you think members of the Bhoys' squad are worth according to Transfermarkt? Starting with an easy one how much do you think Odsonne Edouard is worth?

However, after Kennedy opted to start Kenny in the derby on Sunday, fans of the Bhoys appeared far from happy with the 24-year-old’s efforts in the first half of the fixture, with many taking to Twitter to share their frustrations at the right-back’s performance thus far and his role in Rangers’ equaliser.

Is Kenny good enough for Celtic?

So, what exactly did these Celtic fans have to say in reaction to Kenny’s first-half display?

“Kenny is the worst defender in the Celtic squad.”

@joemccolll

“Kenny should be dragged off for that. Sunday league standard!”

@Kinsella37

“Actually mental how some people want Kenny on a permanent but not Elyounoussi.”

@matthew_lickley

“Good first half, played well just terrible from JonJoe Kenny puts them level. Should be 2/3 in front imo.”

@adthelad57

“Pathetic again from a set-piece! Batter them for 40 minutes and don’t go 2 up then just slack first from Kenny and then no desire to defend the corner!”

@Celtic_Philly

“Shocking pass back from Kenny to concede!”

@kernan_andy

All in all, it would appear these Celtic fans were far from happy with the first-half display of Kenny, so, hopefully for the defender, he can improve on his performance in the second half of the clash.
