Although no thanks to the efforts of the Welshman, who managed to play tonight despite the fact he has been vastly outperformed by fellow left-back Sergio Reguilón this campaign. Which is something that might was always going to be something of a risky move considering how important the game is.
And the Spurs fans at home voiced their displeasure on social media, tearing into him for his efforts in the game:
