Tottenham Hotspur supporters have been reacting to the news that Daniel Levy is set to make a second attempt to sign Real Madrid defender Eder Militao this summer.

According to Spanish outlet AS (via Sport Witness), Spurs remain interested in the Brazilian amid claims his first-team place in Madrid is under threat.

Spurs were reportedly keen to sign the South American in January, with Jose Mourinho a fan of the former Porto player.

However, no move materialised, and Militao has failed to make a single appearance since the winter window closed.

Despite the north London outfit having one of the best defensive records in the Premier League, Tottenham have frailties at the back and have arguably been in need of reinforcements for quite some time. The supporters, though, are unsure whether Militao is the man to resolve them:

“Do we really want a defender who isn’t even picked over Nacho when Lucas Vasquez is playing RB?”

@THFCCommentator

“Would prefer Botman or Milinkovic ngl”

@_JoeGTHFC

“Don’t do it to yourselves”

@RSpurs1980

“No thanks”

@ACurtis0211

“He doesn’t fit what we need at all”

@Memephis_

“Give us a world class defender. Not all these half and half people”

@tochi_

“Doomed. Lol”

@seasoneddirtbag

Militao’s stock has dropped during his time with Los Blancos, but he still possesses a lot of quality, and Spurs fans shouldn’t be too quick to write him off.
