Leeds United fans have been reacting on Twitter after it was revealed Nohan Kenneh, a highly-rated academy star, has been training with the first-team this week ahead of the Chelsea clash.

The 18-year-old defensive midfielder has impressed with the Under-23’s this season, making 11 appearances in all competitions.

His outstanding displays for the youth team have clearly caught the eye of Marcelo Bielsa, and the enigmatic Argentine coach invited the England Under-17 international to join in with the senior setup at Thorp Arch.

The Elland Road outfit are currently enjoying a fine season after their return to the Premier League, but a lack of squad depth has seen several players try and fail to replace Kalvin Phillips in the holding role when the 25-year-old has been unavailable.

Judging by the reactions from these Leeds supporters, Bielsa may have a ready-made Phillips alternative for many years to come.

“Great prospect and almost reminiscent of Vieira at Arsenal. Just needs to improve his range of passing a la Kalvin.”

“I’ve watched him play quite a few times and genuinely think he’s a typical Bielsa player who could play in about 3 different positions.”

@pmak27

“This lad has been very impressive in the u23s for a while and imo is the next prospect to come up. Very agile and mobile for a 6’3 lad. Very hard working and commanding in the midfield.”

@mdzfilms

“He’s been one to watch for a while”

@Karendoobydoo

Kenneh appears to be a name to remember for the future, and we look forward to seeing how the teenager progresses over the coming years under Bielsa’s tutelage.
