Celtic fans have been reacting to news about news surrounding Scotland boss Steve Clarke and the head coach job at Celtic Park.

Pressure has been mounting on the incumbent boss Neil Lennon in recent weeks after what can only be described as a horror show of a season, in which they currently sit 18 points off the top of the table and has also endured some off the pitch controversy to boot.

And The Glasgow Times have shared that Clarke is now the front-runner to take over should the club wish to move on from Lennon at some point. Clarke has gone down in Scottish football folklore for having been the man to mastermind their long major tournament drought as well as at club level with his work at Kilmarnock.

Which is why fans on the Read Celtic Facebook page seemed to be incredibly happy at the idea of him taking over in the future:

Clarke has certainly bounced back in terms of winning percentages compared to his earlier jobs in management. Could he be the man to take Celtic back closer to the top of the Scottish Premiership?
