Many Celtic fans have been discussing the latest tweet from Olivier Ntcham that recently emerged on social media.
Ntcham recently tweeted about his loan move to Marseille, saying that he will always be thankful for everything that the Hoops have done for him. He also wished the Parkhead-based side well for their future.
The £3.15 million-valued midfielder also talked about Marseille, saying that it is a pleasure for him to join a big club such as them. He made his delight very clear about the move.
His tweet caught the attention of many Celtic supporters, who made their views clear about the Frenchman.
Ntcham moved to Marseille on loan, though the Ligue 1 side also have the option to buy him permanently for a fee of £4.5 million. Having said that, manager Andre Villas-Boas offered his resignation as Ntcham’s signing didn’t take place according to his wishes. Marseille have suspended the manager, who is pending disciplinary proceedings (as per Sky Sports).
Does Ntcham have a future at Celtic?
Yes
No
Some other Celtic fans also flocked to Ntcham’s tweet regarding his move to Marseille.
“Someone should tell him that he’s on loan, as it stands.“
Some Celtic fans are trying to remind the midfielder of the fact that he has only joined Marseille on a loan deal.
Having said that, the Frenchman hadn’t played for the Bhoys since 23rd December, while his last start for the Bhoys came back in October. He wasn’t in the club’s squad for the last three games, even though he had recently come back from a period of quarantine (as per Transfermarkt).
This suggests that he wasn’t an important part of the side in recent months and Celtic might not miss him too much now that he is gone. Because of that, fans may only hope that the club potentially earns some fee from his sale in the future.
