Many Celtic supporters have been talking about the latest tweet from Odsonne Edouard that recently emerged on social media.
Edouard recently quote-tweeted a video that the official Celtic Twitter account had recently posted on social media. The video revolved around all of the striker’s goals in the 2020/21 campaign for the Bhoys and Edouard quote-tweeted this by posting a football and green heart emoji.
Is Edouard set to leave in the summer?

The Frenchman has been in impressive form in recent weeks and he has scored eight times in the last seven Premiership games (as per Transfermarkt).
In all competitions this season, Edouard has found the back of the net 19 times for the Bhoys. In the Premiership, he has scored 15 times in 22 games and has also racked up four assists for the Hoops (as per Transfermarkt).
In the current league season, Edouard has scored 0.83 goals per 90 minutes for Celtic, which is only second to his tally for the 2019/20 season (as per FBRef).

A lot of these Celtic supporters want Edouard to sign a new deal and some of them feel that he could move on soon. It appears that despite reaching the milestone of 20 goals this year and appearing to be proud of that feat, fans are having conflicting feelings in terms of their responses.
Edouard’s current contract at Parkhead runs out in the summer of 2022 and he last signed a new deal in 2018. He doesn’t seem to be extending a new contract right now, which means that the summer of 2021 may be Celtic’s best chance of selling him for a decent fee from his potential sale before he is able to speak with other clubs.
So if the Frenchman doesn’t pen a new deal, Celtic might have no choice other than selling him in the summer but considering his contributions, he could be a tough man to replace.
