Plenty of Celtic supporters have raised concerns over the Hoops players’ fitness levels, despite their 1-0 win at the weekend.

The Bhoys were under the watchful eye of John Kennedy, who has been appointed as the club’s interim boss in place of Neil Lennon who resigned following their 1-0 defeat to Ross County.

It was the ideal start in charge for Kennedy, as Odsonne Edouard’s deflected goal after just six minutes saw Celtic pick up the three points against Aberdeen to somewhat close the massive gap between themselves and runaway league-leaders Rangers.

Speaking in his post-match press conference, Kennedy highlighted his squad’s lack of fitness levels as something that needs to be worked on, although the interim boss stated that their schedule is what resulted in a subdued second-half showing.

“The energy levels started to go a bit in the second-half, and that’s just a culmination of the week that the boys have been through.”

A number of Celtic supporters took to social media to react to Kennedy’s comments on the player’s fitness at this moment in time.

Take a look at the best of the reaction from Twitter below….

“Fitness is clearly a big concern. What’s been going on in training and in terms of expectations of how players look after themselves?”

“Honestly impressed with his post match interview. Professional but didn’t shy away from goings on this week. Very matter of fact.”
