Fans of Tottenham Hotspur have taken to Twitter to praise the performance of Spurs midfielder, Dele Alli, in the club’s Europa League clash against Wolfsberger AC.

Having played a total of just 113 minutes of Premier League football over six appearances so far this season, in addition to 241 minutes of Europa League football – prior to Wednesday’s fixture – over five appearances, in which the £34.2 million-rated 24-year-old had scored one goal and provided one assist, Jose Mourinho opted to start the England international against Wolfsberger on Wednesday evening.

And, after scoring a spectacular overhead kick to give Spurs the lead in the fixture, as well as setting up Carlos Vinicius for the club’s second goal and Gareth Bale for their third, fans of Tottenham appeared delighted with the performance of the £100k per week man, with many taking to Twitter to share their appreciation for the midfielder’s display.
