Plenty of Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted to a report that both Gareth Bale and Dele Alli could be handed a rare league start by Jose Mourinho for their match against London rivals West Ham United.

Bale and Alli have both struggled for consistent game time this season with Spurs this season, with Mourinho often opting to start with Son Heung-min and Erik Lamela instead in recent weeks.

Spurs have found a positive run of results hard to come by in recent weeks, and now find themselves 20 points adrift of league-leaders Manchester City in the Premier League.

But they picked up a much-needed win in their most recent fixture in the Europa League, as they beat Austrian side Wolfsberger AC 4-1 on Thursday evening.

Should Bale AND Alli start vs West Ham?

Both Alli and Bale started the match, with Bale scoring and assisting once on the night.

It is claimed by the Daily Mirror that both players could start for Spurs in their match against West Ham United after reportedly impressing in the win over Wolfsberger AC in midweek.

It’ll be a tricky test for Jose Mourinho’s side at the London Stadium, with West Ham currently sat fifth in the top-flight standings, and full of confidence after a convincing 3-0 win over relegation-threatened Sheffield United in their last match.

A number of Spurs supporters took to social media to react to the news that Bale and Alli could both be set to start against the Hammers on Sunday.
