Aston Villa podcaster Aaron Clark has made a claim on Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey.
This comes after Clark recently made an appearance on The Villa View Podcast where he discussed a number of topics concerning the Birmingham club, including their recent 2-1 defeat against Leicester City in the Premier League at Villa Park.
On the subject of Ramsey, who came on as a substitute in the second half of the game against the Foxes, Clark had this to say about the midfield man. (21.21)
He said: “I think Ramsey for me, on today’s showing and the showings that he’s had coming off the bench in the last two, three months, I wouldn’t be surprised, I think it’s unlikely, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him start the game against Leeds for sure.
“It’d be nice to see him getting a start and showing us what he can do on a 90-minute basis.”
As a product of Villa’s youth system, Ramsey made his senior debut for the club back in February 2019. Since then, the 19-year-old, who is currently valued at £1.35 million, has made 15 appearances for Villa’s first team, providing one assist along the way (per Transfermarkt).

With Ross Barkley only managing to earn himself a fairly underwhelming match rating of 6.45/10 for his performance against Leicester at the weekend, this could potentially persuade Smith to drop him from the team and give Ramsey a start in their upcoming league game against Leeds as Clark suggested in the podcast.
