Image for Wolves: Adrian Clarke praises Pedro Neto

Pundit Adrian Clarke has recently praised Pedro Neto for his performances for Wolves this season.

Clarke appeared as a guest on the latest episode of the Totally Football Show podcast and the panel discussed multiple issues involving the Premier League. Clarke talked about the game involving Wolves and Leeds in the most recent game week. He praised Pedro Neto and he believes that the former Lazio player can play for a Champions League club.

Neto had arrived at Wolves from Serie A giants Lazio in the summer of 2019 and the Portuguese had joined for a fee of £16.11 million. While the 20-year-old hadn’t been a regular in the 2019/20 campaign under Nuno Santo, he’s become a regular part of the first-team in the current campaign (as per Transfermarkt).

The pundit said (54:58) “I love Neto. I think Neto is destined to be a Champions League player in the not too distant future. I think they’ll do really well to hang on to him. You forget how young he is. He’s brilliant.”

To kick off this quiz on Romain Saiss, what squad number does the defensive midfielder currently wear for the Old Gold?

TIF Thoughts on Pedro Neto…

Neto has been in fine form for Wolves this season, having contributed to nine Premier League goals for the side. He has five goals to his name, getting four assists for the team too (as per Whoscored).

He has been Wolves’ highest contributor to goals too, ahead of Ruben Neves and Daniel Podence. He has also been their highest-rated player at 7.20 (as per Whoscored).

And he’s still only 20 and might still improve in the future. His current contract at Wolves runs out in the summer of 2025 and he is currently valued at as much as £24.30 million. So Wolves can well have the chance of selling him for a high fee in the future.
