The 27-year-old midfielder said that everyone at the club is ‘together’ and the players have to ‘work extra hard’ so that they react to the recent poor results in a positive manner.

In the interview, McGregor also said that the players in the club’s dressing room have enough ‘hunger’ and ‘quality’ to have another successful season and now is the time for them to rally around and support each other.

The Hoops are second in the table and while they have two games in hand, they are 11 points behind Rangers. They have won just a single game out of their last four outings in the Premiership (as per Transfermarkt).

Some other Celtic fans also expressed their frustrations about McGregor’s comments.

These Celtic fans are annoyed by McGregor’s words and want to see better performances from the club soon.

While the Hoops aren’t in a good position, McGregor has picked up an average rating of 7.31/10 for his performances in the Premiership this season (as per WhoScored). As a result, he has been the club’s third-best performing player in the league campaign.

This suggests that he’s had a pretty good season so far, and while Celtic’s league form hasn’t been impressive, McGregor himself deserves praise for how he’s played in the campaign.
