Many Celtic fans have been discussing a news update involving the Green Brigade that recently emerged on social media.

It has been reported that the Green Brigade have now unveiled a banner demanding for Neil Lennon’s exit from the club. Their banner reads ‘Save the ten, time to go Neil’.

A statement from them has said that while Lennon has delivered a lot of success to the club in the past, it isn’t good enough to ‘excuse’ the level of performances this season. Their statement said that while the squad is the ‘best in the country’, the football on show has been ‘dismal’.

The statement from the Green Brigade states that some of the club’s best players have been performing in a disappointing fashion this season and they have concerns about the club’s poor performances in the league and in European competition (as per the Daily Record).

The Hoops do find themselves at the bottom of their Europa League group and are 11 points behind the Gers in the Premiership table. They are yet to win a single Europa League group stage game (as per Transfermarkt).

Some other Celtic fans also made their anger clear about the Green Brigade’s actions.

These Celtic fans believe that what the Green Brigade did is wrong and Lennon doesn’t deserve to be treated in this way.

Lennon has helped the club win five Premiership titles in his managerial career. He has also guided them to a couple of Scottish Cup wins. He has now managed the club on two occasions and he’s a former Celtic player as well. So it is clear that he’s done a lot for the Bhoys and because of that, he certainly deserves a lot more respect from the Green Brigade.
