Many Tottenham Hotspur fans have been responding to a tweet that was recently posted by Football.london’s Spurs correspondent Alasdair Gold in which he explained why the Lilywhites’ Argentinian midfielder Giovani Lo Celso was absent from Spurs’ squad for their UEFA Europa League win over Ludogorets on Thursday.
Lo Celso had featured in all of Tottenham’s Europa League group stage games and Europa League qualifiers before Thursday’s clash with Ludogorets, while he also played in each of Spurs’ last four Premier League games and even scored in last weekend’s win over Manchester City.
However, as per Gold, the 24-year-old ‘picked up a knock in training’ which kept him out of the squad for the Lilywhites’ latest European fixture.
So, how did these Tottenham Hotspur fans respond to Alasdair Gold’s update on Giovani Lo Celso?
For those wondering, Giovani Lo Celso picked up a knock in training which has kept him out of tonight's Spurs squad.

This isn’t the first injury that Lo Celso has picked up during his time at the north London club, or even during the 2020/21 campaign, and that may explain why some Spurs supporters directed some frustration towards Lo Celso in response to this update from Gold.
Why are all of our Argentinian players made of glass

Some Lilywhites fans called for the Argentinian, who Tottenham signed for £28.8m, to be sold in response to the journalist’s tweet.
Sell him, another Lamela

Brilliant. I’d get rid of him, no point having him if he’s injured every other game
— COYS????????? (@thfcrasse) November 26, 2020
Get rid! Him and Lamela is stealing a living!

Meanwhile, some other Tottenham fans indicated that they are getting worried about how much time Lo Celso is spending on the sidelines due to injury.
Gotta be honest this is becoming a concern

This is becoming worrying!!

Should Spurs sell Lo Celso?
YES
NO
So, it’s clear from these replies to Gold’s tweet that plenty of Spurs fans have no sympathy for the £31.5m-rated man over his injury issues.
