A lot of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flocked to a post from the Daily Hotspur that has relayed some news from the Netherlands national team’s official Twitter account concerning Steven Bergwijn.
The tweet confirmed that the Spurs player has been sent home from the Dutch national team after he was deemed not fit enough to play for his country.
The news was confirmed on Monday, and it means that Bergwijn will not be able to add to his nine caps for his country and will miss fixtures against Spain, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Poland.

So, it seems as if Bergwijn is not fit enough for his country, and that could be to do with the lack of league games he has played this season or something else we are just not sure yet.
