Former footballer and regular contributor on the Talking Shutt podcast Paddy Miller has been discussing Leeds United’s Robin Koch during a recent edition of the show.

The 24-year-old defender joined Leeds United back in August from the German Bundesliga side SC Freiburg in a deal worth £11.7m (as per Transfermarkt). Since arriving at Elland Road, the central defender has started all eight of Leeds United’s Premier League fixtures.

Starting with an easy one what shirt number does Bamford wear for Leeds United?

Koch made two appearances for Germany in the recent UEFA Nations League fixtures, earning himself a player rating of 6.69/10 in the 3-1 home win against Ukraine. The Leeds man then featured in Germany’s 6-0 away defeat at the hands of Spain on Tuesday evening, this time earning a disappointing performance rating of 5.37/10.
When discussing whether his latest showing was a concern ahead of the visit of Arsenal this weekend, here is what Miller had to say:
“He might see it as, ‘I’ve gone to Germany, not played great; coming back to Leeds is a bit of a relief.’

“At that elite level – you can’t have the mentality where he dwells on stuff, so for me, he’s just got to have the mentality of putting it right.”

TIF Thoughts on Paddy Miller’s comments regarding Robin Koch’s latest performance…

The £15.3m-rated defender, in the Premier League this season, has earned himself a solid rating of 6.6/10 and so based on that, it could be argued he had an off night during the recent international versus Spain, as did, judging by the scoreline, most of his teammates.
Having conceded four goals in each of their last two league fixtures (as per BBC Sport), Marcelo Bielsa will no doubt be hoping, his defence can buck that trend when they face Mikel Arteta’s side on Sunday afternoon.
